Wilbraham & Monson Academy
423 Main St, Wilbraham, MA 01095
The school resulted from the 1971 merger of Monson Academy, founded in 1804, and Wilbraham Academy, established in 1817. Located in the center of town, Wilbraham & Monson continues to occupy its fully renovated, historic buildings, and the academy has a listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The college preparatory curriculum features honors courses in all departments and a variety of Advanced Placement classes. As an alternative to a study hall arrangement, Wilbraham & Monson encourages boys and girls to seek day and evening help from their teachers and peer tutors. The English as a Second Language program serves the academy's substantial international population, and the school also maintains an academic services program for students with diagnosed learning differences.
