This Christian school was established as a preschool by Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. Soon thereafter, Wesleyan expanded to include elementary and middle school divisions. Following the school’s divestiture from the founding church and the addition of a high school program, Wesleyan relocated in summer 1996 to its current, 75-acre site. The school conducts a varied curriculum at all grade levels. In the lower school (grades K-4), children develop a foundation in the fundamentals as they follow a core curriculum that includes Bible, foreign language, computer science, music and art classes. Wesleyan's middle school program (grades 5-8) serves as a bridge between the lower and high schools and helps students form sound study habits, assume a higher degree of responsibility for their learning and learn to budget time effectively. During the high school years (grades 9-12), the college preparatory curriculum provides opportunities for acceleration while also encouraging pupils to take part in a variety of activities within the arts, athletics and fellowship groups. A strict honor code, uniform requirements and regular chapel programs are integral aspects of school life.
