Walnut Hill School
12 Highland St, Natick, MA 01760
Walnut Hill was founded as a college preparatory school for Wellesley College. In 1971, the trustees voted to form a coeducational cocurricular program, fully integrating the academic program with training in the fine and performing arts. The curriculum provides a broad range of both college preparatory and performing and visual arts courses, with requirements in English, mathematics, science, foreign language and social science. Each student must also be accepted into one of the arts departments and must major in music, ballet, theater, visual arts or creative writing. The school program is enhanced by an affiliation with the New England Conservatory of Music. This combination of arts study and academics provides students with the preparation necessary for entrance into universities, conservatories, art colleges and professional dance companies.
