Villa Esperanza serves children and young adults with developmental disabilities. The school enrolls individuals with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, intellectual disabilities, autism and other learning handicapping conditions. Programming combines classroom work with recreation, speech therapy, language development and behavior modification. A team-teaching approach promotes expertise in academics, play/social skills and independent living. The program also includes speech-language and occupational therapy services, as well as behavior intervention. The school accepts the following conditions: Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Pervasive Development Disorder.
