Via Center

2126 6th St, Berkeley, CA 94710

Via Center provides a continuum of services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. The goal of programming is to help clients succeed in increasingly less restrictive environments, such as local school programs, agencies offering adult services, supported employment programs, supported living arrangements, and the individual's family and community. Via School, which serves those ages 5-21, offers educational services and behavioral treatment for students with developmental disabilities who stand to benefit from a highly structured, behaviorally based program. Level of functioning varies, but pupils typically require more individualized attention and behavioral programming than is available through public school special-education programs. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Aphasia, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Cardiac Disorders, Conduct Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Emotional Disturbances, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Orthopedic/Neurological Disabilities, Pervasive Development Disorder, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Speech/Languague Impairments, Tourette’s Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury.
