Part of Peabody College and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development, SGS provides educational services for preschool-age children with special needs. Early intervention is available for at-risk infants and toddlers. Susan Gray School also provides a setting for training future teachers and researchers, and for demonstrating educational models serving young children with special needs. In addition, the school supports research on developmental disabilities and related aspects of human development. The school accepts the following conditions: Aphasia, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Blindness/Visual Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Deafness, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, Infantile Paralysis, Intellectual Disabilities, Orthopedic/Neurological Disabilities, Pervasive Development Disorder, Spina Bifida, Traumatic Brain Injury.
