Trinity-Pawling School Trinity-Pawling School

Trinity-Pawling, founded by Dr. Frederick L. Gamage in 1907, is a traditional college preparatory, Episcopal, boarding school for boys. The school’s 140-acre campus is located just 67 miles north of New York City in Pawling, NY.

At the heart of Trinity-Pawling’s philosophy is the effort system. This system rewards a boy based on his effort in various aspects of school life including academic, athletic, extracurricular, and dormitory. We acknowledge that boys have different strengths and weaknesses, and it is our belief that by rewarding students for hard work, each boy will be motivated to reach his own potential in all areas of school life.

The school offers over 100 courses including 17 AP courses. A student teacher ratio of 7 to 1 and a residential faculty allow for an intimate academic setting where additional instruction is always available. A curriculum-based Language Program is offered on a limited basis to bright students who have been diagnosed as having a mild language-based disability.

A wide variety of extracurricular activities is offered; among them, a weekly gathering with nearby girls’ schools throughout the area. Additionally, there are more than 50 organized clubs and activities for students to choose from. The school’s close proximity to New York City and Metro North Railroad make it possible for the school to offer a myriad of cultural activities and outings.

Athletic facilities include McGraw Wrestling Pavilion, Tirrell Hockey Arena, Carleton Gymnasium, Rock Squash Courts, a state-of-the-art track, 9 new tennis courts (Spring ’13), 8 playing fields and baseball diamond, new turf field (Fall ’13), a Nautilus and free weights room, and cardio room. An extensive range of athletics are offered, there are athletic teams and intramural programs for all levels and ability.
