The TASIS School in Dorado
11 Carretera 693, Dorado, PR 00646 Puerto Rico
Following the American educational model, TASIS Dorado comprises four school divisions: early childhood (grades pre-K-2), lower school (grades 3-5), middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-11). Students participate in self-contained classes in an age-appropriate setting. In the lower grades, specialists provide instruction in music, art, drama, computer, library skills and physical education. The middle/high school curricula adhere to an interdisciplinary approach and includes a range of electives. Middle and upper schoolers take part in thematic weeks that may involve community service, guest speakers, in-residence artists and performers, student-run plays and musical performances, story and poetry reading, or multimedia displays and presentations. In addition, high school pupils participate in an exploration week that combines morning community service with an experiential minicourse in the afternoon.
