The Rugby School at Woodfield

Through an intensive academic program, individualized counseling and a structured environment, the Rugby School provides comprehensive academic and vocational programs for young people of normal intelligence with special needs. Specific programs focus upon college preparation, cooperative trade and industry, office occupation, career exploration and health services. Other services include behavior management and full clinical services. The school maintains small, structured classes to help students develop necessary life and interpersonal skills while they prepare for college or the work force. Faculty tailor instruction to each student's skills, needs and capabilities. The curriculum features specialized programs in photography, music, art, drama, environmental science, culinary arts, creative writing, journalism, cosmetology, comprehensive behavior management and art therapy, as well as workshops, lectures, hands-on activities and one-on-one tutoring sessions. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Asthma, Asperger's Syndrome, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Emotional Disturbances, Learning Differences, Mood Disorder, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Pervasive Development Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, School Phobia, Tourette’s Syndrome.
