The Prague British School

K Lesu 558/2, 142 00 Prague, 4 Czech Republic

Founded as the British International School of Prague to fill a perceived need for a British-style educational establishment in the city, the school now serves children age 1½ and up through its infant, junior and senior divisions. In addition to the Kamyk site, the school maintains two other campuses in Prague. As BISP seeks to maintain continuity with schools in the UK, students follow the British National Curriculum through garade 8, then progress to the standard IGCSE program in grades 9 and 10. Boys and girls pursue the IB Diploma in grades 11 and 12. Although both the faculty and the student body are predominantly British, the school enrolls pupils from dozens of other nations as well. A varied language program, taught largely by native speakers, comprises 12 years of French, German and Czech instruction, as well as six years of Russian.
