The Pine School

1300 E 10th St, Stuart, FL 34996

Founded as the Pine School, this institution changed its name to Saint Michael's Independent School in 1994, when the school ended its affiliation with the Episcopal Church. It again assumed the Pine School name in July 2006. With its lower school campus located on an 11-acre tract in the heart of Stuart, the school serves Martin, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties. The college preparatory curriculum is reinforced by individualized instruction and small classes. Early learning through grade 5 classes are self-contained, while grade 6 and up are departmentalized. Specialists in Spanish, Chinese, art, music, computers and physical education meet with students several times a week. Boys and girls choose from an array of Advanced Placement courses in the upper grades. Students perform 120 hours of required community service in grades 9-12. The middle and upper schools (grades 7-12) are located at a separate, 143-acre campus in Hobe Sound.
