Miriam School conducts a program for children with average to above-average intellectual potential who evidence mild to moderate learning problems. An individualized learning approach emphasizes the development of academic, social and self-advocacy skills. The program is highly structured and addresses basic academic skills and appropriate social and classroom behavior. The school also provides parental classes and a broad community program, serving as a consultant to preschools, daycare centers and public school systems to help children with developmental problems. The usual duration of enrollment is three to five years. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Apraxia, Asperger's Syndrome, Auditory Processing Disorders, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Learning Differences, Multiple Disabilities, Nonverbal Learning Differences.
