The Learning Project Elementary School
107 Marlborough St, Boston, MA 02116
Located in an original schoolhouse in the Back Bay, the school maintains a small enrollment and a favorable average class size to permit children of different ages to teach and learn from each other. Program emphasis is on the study of basic skills, and the school takes an integrated approach to its curriculum. Social studies, science, language arts, Spanish, computers, physical education, art, problem solving, music and math form the core of each child's weekly schedule. Children in grades 3-6 undertake a major independent study project in the spring, and field trips include a week in Washington, DC, for sixth graders. Students also stage three major musical performances annually. Three extended-day programs, serving children in grades 1-3 and 4-6, are available for an additional fee.
