The International School of Bergen

Vilhelm Bjerknesvei 15, 5081 Bergen, Norway

ISB was founded to meet the educational needs of children of expatriate oil company personnel and to attract more international corporations to the Bergen area. The school has since become known outside of the corporate community, and an increasing number of students now enroll from the local area. Near the mountains, the school rests at the foot of a lake. Pupils follow the IB Middle Years Program, which is rarely conducted in Norway. The international curriculum also includes ESL and a program for children with learning disabilities. Each year, boys and girls embark on numerous excursions into the countryside.
