Serving mono- and bilingual children with intellectual disabilities, Hebrew Academy's School Age Program focuses on development in such functional areas as academic skills, socialization and activities of daily living. Prevocational training constitutes an integral part of instruction; programming incorporates various transitional services and seeks to address students' futures in adult society. Programs include travel training, community integration, socialization techniques, job-searching tactics, exploration of post-school programs, volunteer job experience, workshop skills and hands-on experience. Assistive technology and adaptive computers enhance learning. Psychological services and various therapies are available. The school accepts the following conditions: Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Pervasive Development Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury.
