The Harbour School

Children who have been diagnosed with learning problems receive personalized instruction in reading, math and language arts at this school. Other academic subjects are taught in a group setting. The program emphasizes social skill development at all grade levels. High school programming seeks to ease the student's transition into college or a career, with graduates earning a high school diploma. Pupils accumulate 75 hours of required community service prior to graduation, 30 of which must be served on site. Counseling, speech and psychological services, and occupational therapy are available, and boys and girls spend an average of three years at the school. Harbour maintains a second campus in Owings Mills. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Aphasia, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia, Learning Differences, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Speech/Languague Impairments, School Phobia, Tourette’s Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury.
