Crisman provides students with learning differences with specialized courses, small classes, flexible schedules, frequent evaluations of progress, multisensory activities and the opportunity to receive instruction for each subject at the level on which they function. The school's staff remains flexible in the choice of methods, materials and placement for each child. Pupils in all grades attend classes in art, computer and physical education, as well as foundational academic courses. Each subject area emphasizes strong reading and writing skills at all grade levels. Middle school students may take part in an interscholastic sports program. Other extracurricular activities include drama and yearbook. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Auditory Processing Disorders, Autism, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Learning Differences, Nonverbal Learning Differences, Pervasive Development Disorder, Speech/Languague Impairments.
