The Cove School

The nation's first school designed exclusively for children with learning disabilities, Cove provides students having various learning problems with a specially designed educational environment. The program, which consists of elementary, junior high and high school divisions, utilizes an integrated academic program to develop children's critical-thinking, language and study skills. Teachers attempt to formulate an appropriate learning strategy for the pupil. Cove issues a laptop to each high school student for school use. Social workers at the school provide individual and group counseling for those experiencing social and emotional problems. Cove's seeks to help each student develop the academic, language, social and practical skills necessary for the successful return to a traditional classroom. The school accepts the following conditions: Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Learning Differences.
