The Bullis School
10601 Falls Rd, Potomac, MD 20854
Founded in Washington, DC, as a one-year preparatory school for the US service academies, the school moved to Silver Spring four years later. At that time, Bullis began to offer a four-year program. In 1963, the school's present, 102-acre tract in Potomac was purchased. The program subsequently grew to encompass grades 2-12, with grade 2 added in fall 2013. In the lower and middle schools, students develop research and study skills in preparation for future academic work. The upper school's curriculum enables pupils to choose from various Advanced Placement courses, as well as a number of social studies, visual and performing arts, computer science and foreign language electives.
