This UK-style school educates English-speaking students from more than 40 nations. In the early years, the curriculum focuses on developing language skills, phonics and basic writing skills. Pupils next concentrate on the core subjects of math, science and history. Foreign language instruction begins at age 11 with a choice of French or Arabic. The following year, boys and girls continue with their chosen language, but they may also study Spanish. Preparation for the GCSE and IGCSE exams commences at age 13. It is expected that students begin with four AS-level courses in grade 11 and carry three to the advanced level in grade 12.
