The British International School of Belgrade
Borisavljeviceva 44, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia
Founded as International High School Belgrade, the school assumed its current name in 2003 to better reflect its academic approach. As a British school, BIS prepares its students for the IGCSE examinations at age 16 and the AS- and A-level exams at age 18. As an alternative to the UK system in grades 11 and 12, boys and girls may instead follow the American-style curriculum by enrolling in correspondence courses through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Those who do so earn an internationally recognized American high school diploma. Field trips and other activities have a multicultural emphasis.
