The school specializes in the remediation of dyslexia. A structured teaching approach presents basic linguistic and mathematical symbols and skills, extending to a full curriculum as the child progresses. Involvement of parents is extensive, as they participate in tutoring, carpentry and fundraising. The high school campus (grades 7-12), located on Parkmeadow Avenue, emphasizes practical life and job-related skills, along with preparation for postsecondary academics. Children in grades K-6 attend classes at a separate campus on Bereford Drive. The usual duration of treatment is four years, and Brighton does not accept children with primary emotional problems. The school accepts the following conditions: Auditory Processing Disorders, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Learning Differences.
