The Bodine School
2432 Yester Oaks Dr, Germantown, TN 38139
The school offers elementary and middle programs for children with dyslexia. The goal of both programs is to remediate language-based learning disabilities to the degree that students are able to return to traditional educational institutions. Using specialized teaching methods, Bodine develops an Individualized Education Program for each pupil that encourages the student to progress at a suitable pace. The full curriculum includes math, social studies and science, as well as computer, physical education, library and art. As a complement to academics, students gain exposure to a range of cultural experiences through art classes, field trips, and interaction with visiting artists and speakers. Leadership skills—which boys and girls develop through participation in community service, student government and community activities—are integral to the program. The school accepts the following conditions: Dyslexia, Learning Differences.
