The American School Foundation of Guadalajara

Colomos 2100, Col Providencia, Apartado Postal 6-280, 44630 Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

This American-style program (which employs English as the primary language of instruction) comprises early childhood (nursery and kindergarten), elementary (pre-1-4), middle school (grades 5-8) and high school (grades 9-12) divisions. Honors and Advanced Placement courses are both part of the college preparatory high school curriculum. Most high schoolers enroll in ASFG's dual program, which allows students to receive both a US high school diploma and the Mexican Bachillerato upon graduation. ASFG conducts an annual student exchange program with St. John's School in Houston, Texas. All pupils fulfill a mandatory community service requirement as a supplement to academic work. Graduates typically matriculate at universities in the US, Mexico and Canada.
