Named for the renowned Colorado State University professor, animal scientist and autism advocate, the school serves students with Asperger's syndrome and similar learning profiles. The curriculum condenses core classroom instruction into four days, with a fifth day dedicated to the creative arts, individualized enrichment, mentoring or service learning. The schoolwide social skills program focuses on building students’ interpersonal, technology and workplace skills. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Dysgraphia, Nonverbal Learning Differences, Pervasive Development Disorder.
