Summit School

2100 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106

Summit combines recent methods of teaching with sound academic standards, while also making special provisions for acceleration. The 28-acre campus features a modern arts and technology building and athletic center. French and Spanish instruction begins in junior kindergarten, and Latin and Chinese language classes add to the curriculum in grades 4-9. The arts are integral to the curriculum at all grade levels. Summit requires community service participation. Schoolwide service learning projects often emphasize environmental issues and global responsibility. In addition, older pupils satisfy the following service requirements: six hours in grade 6, eight hours in grade 7, 10 hours in grade 8 and 15 hours in grade 9.
