The academy serves children with learning disabilities, as well as those who are at risk of developing learning disabilities. Each child receives intensive instruction in a small classroom setting. Staff use annual standardized testing results as a complement to ongoing performance assessments and criterion-referenced testing. Extracurricular activities include soccer, basketball, drama, art, chess club and environmental club. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Apraxia, Asthma, Asperger's Syndrome, Auditory Processing Disorders, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Learning Differences, Multiple Disabilities, Nonverbal Learning Differences, Pervasive Development Disorder.
