Treatment, which takes place in a secure rehabilitative environment, addresses the emotional, behavioral, social, familial and cognitive domains. Structured external behavioral controls are in place to assist the boy with developing self-control, and the multidisciplinary, integrated treatment model incorporates milieu treatment, psychotherapy, academics, health services and recreation. The ultimate program goal is the client's successful reintegration into his community. Offered through Stetson's Robinson Education Center, educational services mirror those found in public schools. An extended, 216-day school year allows for flexibility in course scheduling, staff training and summer programming. The curriculum incorporates prevocational course work in such areas as woodworking, computer technology, and building and grounds maintenance.
