St. Ursula Academy

1339 E McMillan St, Cincinnati, OH 45206

Sponsored by the Ursulines of Cincinnati, this Walnut Hills secondary school draws students from approximately 20 school districts in the Greater Cincinnati area. The academy conducts a rigorous college preparatory program in the fields of English, math, science, social studies, foreign language and religion. With the permission of the academic dean, qualified girls may pursue Advanced Placement course work during the junior or senior year. Incoming freshmen purchase tablet personal computers from the school to connect to the campus wireless network, complete classroom assignments and access course materials from home. St. Ursula maintains a program for college-bound girls of above-average ability who have either dyslexia or another learning disability. Students enrolled in this program are completely mainstreamed within the regular curriculum, but certain modifications and services are in place to address their special learning needs. Program participants incur some additional costs.
