St. Paul's School

Rua Juquia 166, Jardim Paulistano, 01440-903 Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil

Though the medium of instruction at St. Paul's is English, most pupils are not native speakers of the language. The structured pre-preparatory division (ages 3-5) provides an integrated curriculum that emphasizes fundamental reading, writing, science and math skills. The prep school (ages 6-11) stresses sound study habit development, as well as both independent and cooperative learning skills. Basically, the school's curriculum at the pre-preparatory and preparatory levels follows the British National Curriculum. Students take IGCSE courses in forms four and five, then take part in the IB Diploma Program in the Sixth Form. Boys and girls select six subjects, three at A level and three at AS level. These six courses come from the following areas: math, languages, science, humanities and one other discipline.
