St. Paul's Episcopal School was founded as a nursery school and became an independent school with a board of trustees in 1969. In 1974, the first high school class graduated. Teachers are available for tutoring after school, and extensive individual tutoring may be scheduled. Offering a college preparatory curriculum within a Christian environment, St. Paul's conducts such high school courses as journalism, computer science, chemistry and physics, as well as various honors and Advanced Placement classes. All students in grades 7-12 purchase laptop computers and connect to the Internet via wireless access points throughout the school. Laptop sections in every discipline utilize innovative teaching techniques and make extensive use of online resources. Boys and girls in grades 9-12 satisfy a 60-hour cumulative community service requirement by April of senior year.
