St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf

A private Catholic school for severely and profoundly hearing-impaired children, the institute offers an educational program that includes speech, language and regular academic courses, taught through speech reading and auditory-oral development. Children are mainstreamed into regular educational facilities as they progress, typically after three to five years. Early intervention programs for children (birth to age 3) and counseling for both parents and students are also available. In addition, clinical services are in place for children and adults. The school accepts the following conditions: Deafness.
