St. John's Northwestern Military Academy

1101 Genesee St, Delafield, WI 53018

SJNMA was formed by the 1995 merger of St. John's Military Academy, which was established in 1884, and Northwestern Military and Naval Academy, founded in 1888. A number of required courses are supplemented by electives in each discipline. The supervised two-hour study period each evening is an integral part of the academic day, and daily tutorials are available for individual help. The military program, which promotes a structured cadet lifestyle, requires JROTC leadership training each year for all high school students. A course in aviation science is available; in addition, those students who earn a private pilot's license during junior year may take an advanced course leading to an instrument rating. Cadets attend nondenominational chapel services twice a week. St. John's Northwestern conducts three separate postgraduate programs: the first for students interested in attending one of the country's five service academies, a second for those seeking admission to a particular university, and a third for athletes wishing to play Division I or Division II college basketball.
