Sections Internationales de Sevres College d'Etat de Sevres
7 rue Lecocq, 92310 Sevres, France
The International Sections supplement the school's traditional French program with instruction in either English or German. The English program syllabuses at the college (ages 11-15) and lycee (ages 16-18) levels stress reading skills and integrate current educational initiatives from Britain and the US. Native English-speaking instructors teach language, literature, international history and geography, while course work in all other subjects follows the normal French program, carried out by teachers from the French state educational system. Notable aspects of the curriculum include three distinct levels of English instruction, intensive French instruction for pupils lacking fluency in the language, and mixed-language-ability history and geography classes. Most graduates of the English program proceed to American or British universities.
