Combining both creative and traditional approaches to education, the school provides a thorough foundation for college work. Primary emphasis is placed on the academic curriculum and the mastery of verbal and mathematical tools of expression. An interdisciplinary approach to learning is encouraged, and the program includes senior independent study. A full program in the fine and performing arts is part of the varied curriculum. Students in grades 7-12 perform at least 56 hours of required community service each year, with projects and activities varying by grade.
