Saint Stephen's Episcopal School

Founded by a group of community leaders from Sarasota and Manatee counties, Saint Stephen's provides traditional college preparation. In the upper school, Advanced Placement classes are available in all departments. The fine arts department features courses in the visual arts, music and drama. A religious studies program, from which a compulsory component of community service is derived, is also available. Boys and girls accumulate 100 hours of required community service in grades 9-12. The school's Interim Quest program allows upper school students to participate in specialized studies on campus, internships in the business community, or domestic or foreign travel programs. Interscholastic sports competition begins in grade 7. Some out-of-town students reside at the IMG Sports Academies in Bradenton while pursuing their academic work at the school.
