Saint Mary's School

Situated on a 23-acre, wooded campus that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this Episcopal school became affiliated with the Church in the two Carolinas in 1897. Founder and, for 36 years, director was Rev. Dr. Aldert Smedes. Saint Mary's provides a liberal arts curriculum that includes a selection of honors and Advanced Placement classes and is supplemented by a chapel program. A particularly strong arts program include a wide selection of courses and instrumental music lessons. All students fulfill a community service requirement of 10 hours per semester and 20 hours per year.
