Saint Lucy Day School for Children with Visual Impairments/Archbishop Ryan Academy for the Deaf

After initially operating independently, Saint Lucy Day School and Archbishop Ryan Academy for the Deaf effected a merger in 2006. The resulting institution serves children with both visual and hearing impairments. SLDS/ARAD provides intense instruction in regular and special curricular areas for school-age children, with part-time mainstreaming employed at nearby Holy Innocents School in grades 1-8. Parental guidance and support are part of the program. Early intervention services are available to infants and toddlers. The school accepts the following conditions: Blindness/Visual Impairment, Deafness.
