Roland Park Country School Roland Park Country School

Located on a 21-acre estate originally owned by Jerome Bonaparte, RPCS combines modern facilities with the original 19th-century mansion. The school offers a strong academic program that is complemented by more than 50 electives, extracurricular activities, community service opportunities, and interscholastic and intramural sports. Academic standards are high, and there are opportunities for students to take Advanced Placement courses in all disciplines, as well as for foreign travel and study in France, Spain, England, Russia and Germany. Students perform a total of 60 hours of community service in grades 9-12, including 40 hours at one location. There is the opportunity for career exploration through a senior internship, and a coordinate program with the neighboring Gilman School for boys provides possibilities for additional electives in a coed setting. After-school care is available for lower school girls. Computer instruction begins in kindergarten, and students in grades 7-12 must purchase their own tablet computers. A coeducational preschool serves three- and four-year-olds.
