Rivendale provides a year-round alternative to public education for students with learning differences or autism. Individual instruction is designed to meet each child's needs for development in academic, cognitive, perceptual, language and personal/social areas. Student-teacher ratios do not exceed 8:1 in the general classrooms, or 2:1 in the classes for children with autism. Rivendale utilizes applied behavioral analysis for children with autism. An after-school program offers diagnosis and remediation for language development and learning disabilities, as well as for all academic areas. An instrumental enrichment program for junior high and high school students supplements traditional course work.
