Located on a 280-acre campus, Peddie offers a demanding academic program that attracts intelligent students from roughly 20 states and 30 countries. The broad college preparatory curriculum includes core courses and a wide variety of electives (available in one-, two- and three-term sequences) in the performing and visual arts, music, science, math, computer and information technology, and history. Honors and Advanced Placement sections are available in the major disciplines. Technology is an important aspect of Peddie's program, as each pupil receives a laptop computer upon enrollment. The school's library maintains a direct link with Princeton University, and all academic buildings and dormitories feature wireless Internet access. All students take part in a physical education program that includes both interscholastic and intramural sports. Boys and girls fulfill a 20-hour community service requirement (or five hours for postgraduates and one-year seniors). Study abroad opportunities are also available.
