Orinda Academy Orinda Academy

Orinda Academy is in Orinda, California in the San Francisco East Bay. We have 30 years of experience providing a personally enriching and academically challenging, college prep learning environment for students in grades 7 through 12. Many of our students come to our school because other educational institutions have not been a good match for them. Our students are smart and creative, but often because of learning differences they need to learn in a smaller class size where they can get more individualized attention. Our student to teacher ratio is 9:1.

Our faculty understands how to teach to different learning styles and recognizes that not all students learn the same way. Orinda Academy’s dedicated and talented faculty focuses on the individual needs of each student within a college prep curriculum that includes Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Our curriculum meets the college preparatory requirements of the University of California and other four-year colleges and universities nationwide and is approved by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We provide a learning environment where students gain the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Orinda Academy’s learning environment is conducive to student achievement. We emphasize organization, time-management, and self-advocacy. While developing self-confidence and self-reliance, students build upon their successes. Our graduates are confident, academically prepared, and personally ready for college.

The success stories from our graduates are impressive. They attend colleges and universities across the nation including: UCLA, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly, Brown, MIT, Vassar, Pitzer, Carnegie Mellon, Colby, Claremont McKenna, Sonoma State, Humboldt, USC, NYU, Colgate, St. Mary’s and many more.

Orinda Academy is a viable choice for San Francisco Bay Area students who have a desire to be challenged to fulfill their potential in a college prep curriculum, which includes elective areas in music, computers, athletics, drama, dance and art.

We have made a difference in the lives of thousands of students and we can make a difference in your child’s life too.
