Ocean Classroom High School Semester
1 Oak St, PO Box 205, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538
Ocean Classroom's 17-week spring semester program combines seamanship and nautical arts instruction with an integrated academic program. Topics in each course correspond with the voyage itinerary, as boys and girls learn about the maritime heritage and the culture of coastal and island communities. Students, who need have no previous sailing experience, are considered crew members and split into three groups for daily rotating watch duty. Programs progress from St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) to New England.
