Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child

44 Blackburn Rd, Summit, NJ 07901

Oak Knoll is part of a network of schools operated by the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus, an order founded by Cornelia Connelly in 1846. The lower school (grades K-6) is coeducational, while the upper school (grades 7-12) enrolls girls only. The lower school features an innovative teaching program based on small groups and learning centers, with an enrichment program that includes computers, music, art, drama, dance and after-school activities. The upper school's curriculum, which focuses on the liberal arts in a value-centered environment, provides a rigorous college preparatory program. One-to-one laptop programming begins in grade 5; the program in grades 9-12 allows students to take their laptops home. Oak Knoll's campus ministry conducts a volunteer service program.
