The academy's college preparatory curriculum emphasizes creative thinking and the arts. Middle school students (grades 6-8) develop basic skills in English, social studies, math and science, and choose from a variety of arts electives. The interdisciplinary high school program (grades 9-12) combines studies in language and literature with history, economics, philosophy and other subjects. Foreign languages offered typically include French, Spanish and Chinese. Conservatory-style arts courses, which take place both during and after school, include varied offerings in the visual, performing, media and literary arts.
