Uralla Rd, Armidale, New South Wales, 2350 Australia
NEGS occupies a 100-acre estate 350 miles north of Sydney. The academic program, which is geared to students' individual needs, stresses the acquisition of basic skills. All children in the primary school receive instruction in a foreign language. The high school program leads to either the traditional Australian diploma or the IB Diploma in grades 11 and 12. The language department conducts exchanges with Japanese and German girls' schools. Girls choose from a range of elective courses but maintain a balance between cultural, artistic and sporting content. Horsemanship is an extracurricular option for all students and an elective course in grades 11 and 12.
