Morning Star accepts children with learning disabilities, mild emotional disturbances and attentional disorders. The curriculum facilitates the development of academic and motor skills, promoting appropriate social, behavioral and personal relationships. The preschool emphasizes self-care, readiness activities and group interaction. Academic areas, perceptual training and self-control are areas of emphasis in the primary grades. Intermediate-level and junior high students continue academic training, and the program focuses on skill acquisition and the development of self-directedness. The school shares its campus with an adjoining parochial school, affording students part-time placement in regular classes. All pupils enroll on a trial basis that lasts for at least nine weeks. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Auditory Processing Disorders, Dyslexia, Learning Differences.
