Moorestown Friends School

110 E Main St, Moorestown, NJ 08057

Moorestown Friends, operated under the care of the Moorestown Monthly Meeting, originated when the Quakers opened a school on the present, 48-acre site. All students, faculty and staff attend weekly meetings for worship. The school draws students of all backgrounds from South Jersey communities. The college preparatory program in the middle and upper schools is varied, with attention given to the arts and learning experiences that provide off-campus opportunities each year. Weeklong intensive learning sessions each March allow for experiential, in-depth study of specific topics. Seniors engage in pre-professional or service projects in May, and upper school students fulfill a 50-hour community service requirement prior to graduation. In the lower school, children are grouped in traditional grade levels. The developmental curriculum incorporates thematic and experiential learning. Three- and four-year-old students learn in a separate building on campus; the program emphasizes socialization and developmentally appropriate early childhood experiences.
