Psychological and diagnostic evaluations form the basis of individualized prescriptive programs at the academy. Serving those who have failed to achieve to potential in traditional settings, Mill Springs generates learning strategies based upon psycho-educational evaluations, previous school records, diagnostic skills assessments and communications with professionals who have dealt with the pupil previously. Within a structured setting, children receive instruction in age-appropriate groupings. Boys and girls must supply a laptop for school use beginning in grade 4. An extended-day program offers fencing, golf, tennis, yoga, and arts and crafts to children ages 6-14. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Auditory Processing Disorders, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Learning Differences, Multiple Disabilities, Nonverbal Learning Differences.
