Mill Creek School, part of a total treatment milieu called the Adolescent Treatment Center of the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital, treats adolescents with emotional disturbances. Offering self-contained classes and a licensed secondary education program, the humanistic approach is designed to return students to a more typical school setting. Parental involvement is emphasized, and outpatient services are available through the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital. The average duration of enrollment is two and a half years. More than half of the graduating seniors continue on to college or postsecondary training. The school accepts the following conditions: ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, Discalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, Emotional Disturbances, Mood Disorder, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Sexually Abused, School Phobia.
